We are proud to have this exciting new tea in our shop.  This tea has reinvented a centuries old tradition from Ethopia by developing a new recipe for processing Coffee Leaf Tea.  Not only is it delicious and very good for you (delivering antioxidants like mangiferin and cholorogenic acids) it also great for the environment.

Coffee farms are only profitable during the bean harvest season, which is only 3-4 months long. 80-90% of the workers are seasonal and seek work elsewhere during the off-season, creating a very volatile economy.  By developing Coffee Leaf tea workers in Nicaragua can now find employment year round.

Also, the tea is processed using hydro-electric power that’s generated on-site thanks to a natural spring right by the facility where the leaves are processed by hand.
